    He makes really good wine under a different name, he's a decent chef and an OK person. His NY restaurant was one of the most ill-advised things ever done.

    I don't know anything about his cooking itself. What I do know is he had/has a nationally televised show where he goes to small restaurants and things (of course there's some big ones in there too) and gives them advertising they wouldn't otherwise be able to afford. He hires a large contingency of different people, from disabled to ex-cons, despite being deemed unemployable. He helps underfunded schools fundraise by giving them equipment or staff to help with events. There's some other shit I heard/read about as well.

    actually talked to him a bit and was really friendly dude even offset and the crew seemed to be friendly with him. And shit dude really helped out during the fires... he seems like a really upstanding guy just maybe he shouldn't start restaurants lol
