I'm re-reading the Richard Sharpe series right now. It's fun. It's Historical Fiction: Set in real-world events (the Napoleonic and Indian wars of the early 1800s) with mostly battles that actually happened, they're adventures that take a few liberties with those events. The author always does a little breakdown after the book explaining what is real and what is his own creation.

I disliked #2's face and 3's beard almost looks cgi enough for me to believe he's a 3DCG model for a WoW dwarf. But the rest were good to passable.

I don't know what in the god damned hell honorifics are but i have to learn them in the next few hours. Not only do I need to know a good 8 forms for a standard word like くれる but now I must know it's honorific and various offshoots of that. Japanese is dumb af and I feel like they really could've improved and streamlined their language a bit more by this point given their autistic level of industriousness
