We had a guy on my boat get a couple probably stupid ones but also made sure easily covered by sleeves to be safe. In particular one well done bikini babe with her top missing on his upper arm. Anyways being in for several years and no one caring (easily covered in all uniforms and dude was a submariner anyways before women were allowed on) one day policies started changing and they started cracking down on tats and he was first to get slapped with it. Was ordered to get it removed or get kicked out... he decided to put a bikini top on her instead and luckily they accepted it

Should’ve waited. I know the Army tried to implement something similar and it lasted all but six months until a ton of tatted up SGM’s and generals told big Army to fuck off lol.

Does any of y'alls employers make you take PTO for missed days then start disciplinary when you run out?

At my previous office our SAC would encourage guys to just bring in their kids if they could and they would be placed mostly in charge of paperwork for the day, while the rest of us were free to run leads or conduct interviews.

Worked pretty great for those of us without kids.

Normally have a set number of PTO and anything after that is unpaid. That's what I have and this isn't a huge company.

I mean we get 2-3 weeks pto here but some of these MFs must not need a job that bad because some of them miss 15+ days a year ontop of their 10-15 paid days off

Same here. Its kind of up to the supervisor/manage if they want to persue discipline. We have a contractor who's been out a lot due to various issues. (Kids, health, etc...) and we just shrug it off.

Then we another guy who's a reservist. Been gone for a few months defending the border.

And there is no diciplinary action because "they're too hard to replace" - training does take time but this is manual labor with no education required

That's a thing in NY as well, but you're only given 50 or 60% pay and your employer would have to make up the difference if they choose to. Working in construction, they don;t give a shit about the father taking time so yeah.
