In Los Angeles, I've restricted it to 10mi, but if I didn't feel like having to travel, drop it to 5, still get quality matches. At 20mi, I could afford to be picky as hell, only go with 95% matches.
If you live in Bumshart, Nebrahoma and want better than people of walmart, you're going to need to make it a multi-state radius. Drop it to 5mi there, and you're gonna have to settle HARD. (Hyperbole, but ykwim.)

i think 50 miles is about the distance to toronto for me, which is about 45 mins away.
i've never dated anyone directly from toronto, but i've had relationships with girls in cities slightly closer than that

i'd say 50 km is the sweet spot, which is i think is 30 miles

I kept mine at 75 miles on OKC and usually 50 on Tinder though that's only because finding other non monogamous people can be difficult. Though ideally it would be within 25-30 at most especially with the job i have now my time is much more limited.
