Basically those requirements will make every production/distribution company create a couple internship slots for women/PoC (if they don't already) and movies that are about white dudes will make sure they check the crew diversity boxes - the most cynical way of doing so is simply having a female hairstylist and makeup artist.

Basically the same shit Hollywood movies are already doing to cater to the Chinese market, so I don't see the problem with this other than when we see blatant attempts at trying to skirt requirements on both ends (The Chinese & Diversity quota) because there's some conflicts to be had there.

I like seeing films with different casts/cultures/origins more than I do a singular film with a checkbox'd cast, but the folks forking the money have the main say in things to maximize the profits/global reach.

How far back to do you have to dig to find a movie that won best picture that would have been revoked under the new rules? I couldnt find anything on Reddit or Twitter, so I'm guessing you have to go very very far back though the annals of time, at which point these woke rules arent changing anything, and serve one purpose:

It's hard to say, some of the categories about representation at the production company would be difficult to research years later. Every company will be making sure they qualify, so it'll help a little in that respect, but otherwise not a big deal.
