The character more than likely was making the sign because that’s what the character does in the movie and it’s not a racial thing but good luck trying to explain that to people.

I think if he was making it as a character in the movie then he would have held it up like a normal person would. My observation based on photos when this pops up is that people tend to try to be subversive about using the ok symbol in photos when they are doing it for nefarious reasons. It certainly seems fishy to me.
I know its bizarro world here where ya'll actually literally believe the "OK Symbol" is a White supremacist tool cause CNN or whatever your version of Fox news is, but this is almost clearly an example of "The Circle Game".

Dude is guilty of being a memelord and likely nothing more.
So if the mascot catches a park visitor looking at the circle, he slugs them?

Reading is hard?
"Online, people have begun hiding hands making the circle symbols in various images to trick people into finding it."
But regardless, Know Your Meme isn't an encyclopedia for all the uses of it, its just the most basic thing I can find to easily explain the concept of the game. I've seen this type of meme a lot on Imgur either with Photoshopped hands or just people making the symbol like the one posted here all with the same intent, to "get" people to see it online or notice it. Theres nothing more to it than that, I'm sure he did it for a laugh knowing they'd eventually see it or it'd be posted online and someone would eventually see it.

See ya Ellen. Maybe don't be friends with the biggest American war criminal in history.

The enlightened center is already out in defense. B-but we have to respect one another!!! Nah fam.
Does this mean Michelle Obama is likewise getting cancelled?
damn we needa get some better war criminals
Hmm this outrage over Ellen seems like a bunch of bullshit to me. When the Obamas were cuddling up to the Bushes not too long ago people thought it was endearing and a testament to how tolerant the Obamas are. Whole lot of hypocrisy going on there. Also what the hell did everyone expect. Rich people stick with each other and are friends even if they disagree because they are rich. Two rich people at opposite ends of the political spectrum still are closer together than a rich liberal and a poor liberal.
What is she supposed to do? Fight traffic and watch the game at home? Bitch is there already just watch the game

I mean, you're right. It is hypocrisy. The two families, if they really are friends (I personally doubt it) it's likely due to a level of camaraderie over being President during the same era of American politics. The thing is, this doesn't really stop the fact that Bush is one of the greatest perpetrators of global chaos since Nixon with Vietnam. Probably even worse, honestly.
Being able to be courteous and cordial with awful people is completely fine, and you'd expect that out of a mature person. But no, I'm not going to be friends with anyone like that. It's ridiculous to expect that I would even want to be friends with someone diametrically opposed to me politically. Why the hell would I even want to associate with anyone like that? Completely insane.
She was invited to a game, by friends, is sitting in the owners box, and had no idea Bush was going to necessarily be there. What's she supposed to do? Storm off screaming obsceneties and flipping the bird? That kinds of goes against her brand don't you think?
I would have left. But that's my stance. She's completely in her right to stay and has an excuse to do so. But she's invited all of this upon herself by doing so, and I don't think she deserves any sympathy.
If I got to go to a free football game in a booth, and a former president was there, I wouldnt leave even if it was trump.
You know what kind of a story that is to tell? The things youd see and hear? Shit son she isnt voting for the dude, she sat next to him and watched a football game. Dafuk.

You think she's gonna hug and eat Trump's candy if/when the time comes? Don't fool yourself.Although Obama and Bush don't always agree on things, Obama said, she still considered the former president a "beautiful, funny, kind, sweet man."
This shit is dumb.
Ellen will be fine.
I always liked the anecdote of how Bush would always give Michelle candy out of his pocket when they ended up sitting together at events. He even remembered to give Michelle candy at his mother’s funeral.
