Does this guy think everyone that streams is using a pirated copy or something? Pretty sure most streamers play the games they bought and stream music from a streaming service they paid for.
However, he's technically not wrong either as any dev and/or publisher has the right to shut down a game from being streamed or stop a tournament featuring said game from being played (sup Nintendo). They just don't because the optics will be super bad and they make a lot more money just letting shit rock anyway.

He's basically going on about the same thing Nintendo was via claiming ad revenue on youtube for videos of their games. Seems a bit silly coming from him though since a direct connection to youtube is supposed to be one of the draws of stadia.

I miss the golden days of Google, tbh. Fiber was on social media bragging about speeds and getting dragged on TV pricing.
Suddenly I get an email asking if I want to subscribe to YouTube TV, which looks exactly like Fiber TV, has pretty much all the same channels, and is like $40 cheaper.
So... They want me to get rid of boxes and remotes and just... Stream to my TV?

Came across this in my feed today. Google is giving away free Stadia Premiere kits to Youtube Premium subscribers who were subscribed prior to 11/6. Offer seems to be good until 11/29. You just have to register, sign up for a free month of Stadia, then follow the emailed directions. No real plans to play or use Stadia, but I'll take a free bluetooth pad and Chromecast Ultra. If anyone signed up for the free 3 months of Google One, you also get three free months of Stadia Pro. I'll mess around with it and see if there's any use to me, but I'm just biting for the free stuff. Emailed directions below.

I mean Google really hasn't sustained anything long term side they shifted to "make everyone subscribe to everything" model. They don't even do Fiber TV anymore they just sell YouTube subscriptions.
