I can't express my disappointment enough with this entire disaster. I thought last year "Wow this is great, 2 dead franchises brought back from the dead" (Baldur's Gate and this). I loved both of these in my early 20's I had the big box versions of both of them. Wish I still had my BG1/2 manuals. They were awesome.
Jump to now, were development in BG is in full scale and they usually have a big patch around once per month and have an early access version of the game out. Personally I like it a bunch. Still has a ways to go, but I can't wait to see the finished product in 2~ish years. Then on the flip side you have this game. Just one piece of bad news after the other. I think we all knew this was in for a rough ride as soon as the 2 creative leads were let go.
Man, I can't think of many instances when a developer changed so late into a games development. The obvious is Duke Nukem Forever. Then you have other stuff like FF7R, but I don't know how far along that actually was.
I gotta wonder if Paradox is just in sunk cost fallacy mode. I can't even begin to wonder how many millions or tens of millions have gone into this game already. They're probably better off cancelling it. But they've spent so much they have to recoup something. I dunno man, I don't know how many copies they think they're going to sell with all this crap going on.
Sucks ;\

Ugh. They announced in Q1 2019 the game would come out Q1 2020. Now, it's into 2022, which means that one year out, they were off by two years. How does that happen? They lost their creative leads. They're changing developers.Originally Posted by Byrd, on 3/21/19
What an enormous clusterfuck. So very disappointed. I so badly want to love this game, but even my normally sunny side up optimism is begrudgingly shrugging at me and saying "I'm out, man."
