I think fiye is absolute right when he said it’s gonna be between Warren and Bernie. Seems like a super shoot yourself in the foot type scenario the DNC would do. Losing voting block between the two coming out super butthurt and staying home in the darkness come Election Day.

too much overlap between Bern and Warren, they cannibalize one another's bases and there are only so many college kids, chapo listeners, and aging hippies in the Democratic party. she's also so personally uncharismatic i'm not sure how much support she's going to be able to actually pull. imagine one of the moderates will eventually emerge to challenge King Bern. if you chop up the polling between the far left around Bernie and Warren vs more centrist candidates around Biden Pete Harris and Beto you see the latter bloc is far larger, and i think that largely reflects the party composition.

but mostly i'm hoping the tertiary candidates can hang around long enough to prevent an outright majority contested convention lesgoooooooo
