I'm going to huff my hopium that this reads he'll be gone in the near future.
Fuck Bobby Kotick.
edit: It would seem he is indeed being fucked off
I hope Bobby enjoys all the money he'll get from this so he can fuck off and retire, never to leave his house ever again.
Yeah, no way they are keeping him. Staying until the end of the year is probably a part of his “graceful” exit deal.
I'm sure this will also mean more layoffs too.
Blizzcon in like 5min fyi
Now that Bobby is officaly gone, the knives are coming out from the staff...lol

Quite a lot of Blizzard employees are coming out with similar things today. Kotick was always hated there far more than he was even online on subs like this and for good reason.
He spent over a decade actively making the games Blizzard employees were working on worse in the name of enriching himself and a small cabal of board members, and we hate him for that, but don't forget he also spent that time actively making the lives of Blizzard employees worse directly for the same reason.
Good fucking riddance, hopefully the future without him is bright.
jesus i knew he sucked but i didnt expect anyone to express such vitriol. good stuff.
Translation: We aint got fuckall to show for what we've been doing the past year.
Alternatively: "We've crunched the numbers, and we can't really justify spending as much as it would cost to hold Blizzcon this year."
Holy shit, I just realized it's the 30th anniversary of Warcraft, the 20th anniversary of WoW... To not hold a Blizzcon this year is pretty fucking telling...
There's literally nothing they could announce since they blew their load and already told us about the next 3 WoW expansions. Then we already know about the Diablo expansion.
Doesn't need to be an announcement necessarily. They could just give progress updates for the stuff previously announced. At the very least I'm sure they could have figured something out, with it being the 30th anniversary of Warcraft and the 20th anniversary of WoW and all...
Make a fuggin special battleground for the games with mostly reused assets, give people a location to meet up and hang out at, it's not hard folks. It doesn't take much to build good will and maintain a community even if you don't have new shinies to show em. Give em a city to get beer at with like minded gamers is all it takes. To have nothing for their fans during anniversaries like this speaks volumes and id rather not get too attached to those universes when I know they're not being treated with care or respect.
