yeah I just expected some sort of acknowledgment of it within the show, especially after they said xbox players should be watching or w/e. the important thing is that it's out, I just found it odd

They had a big flashing sign going off when getting the big award that said something like "wrap it up" so it seems like they decided to spend the time to honor a colleague who died last month vs the release. Honestly...fair.

yeah... I know this isn't the awards thread but out of a 3 hour show something like 15-20 mins was the actual awards, everything else was just ads or Geoff doing weird bits with friends

Honor run going swimmingly so far, gonna knock out Nere and Grym and Act 1 100%'d. so far no boss has been much of a challenge with proper builds (not bothering to multiclass yet) and potion drinking. famous last words but hope 2 and 3 are a bit more challenging (without actually killing me as then i will tear my hair out).

closest i came to a wipe thus far was when i accidentally bunched up 3 of my party members next to an explosive barrel and a single gobbo archer flame arrowed them all to death which made me laugh. have lost some NPCs for good but way she goes eh, not looking forward to saving Isobel's dumb ass next Act.

You should be fine if you can finish the Grym fight. A friend of mine just finished his honor run and that was his hardest fight.

For Isobel give the +5 to initiative elixir to somoene that can cast sanctuary OR simply don't talk to her.

Playing through as Durge again, made sure this time to knock out Alfira before long rest and it worked. Fuck that rando Dragonborn!

Honor mode - Complete!

I started new run with a much more powerful team comp and am going to see if I can do it more legitimately. Two hours in I'm level 3 at the small goblin camp and got my first ever honor mode death that I'm totally fine with because it was hilarious.

Somehow shadowheart initiated the talk with the goblins at the windmill. She is a monk with 8 charisma and combat started. I wasn't expecting or prepared for the fight and didn't even realize it's like 10 people because I've never actually fought them before. They hit me more of the time and I was having a streak of wiffs. I'm doing it 'for real for real' this time so I accepted the option to go out 'honorably' and delete my save.

The plus side is this Tavs name was Barbs so my next one can be Justfice4Barbs.

Larian sticks with their guns, no DLC or expansions for BG3.

Swen also said they plan to move away from the D&D license entirely so prolly won't be the devs for a Baldur's Gate 4

I wish there was some crossplay between PS5 and PC for this, unless they already did that but last I checked I couldn't play with friends on PS5 from my steam version

Tbh the epilogue that they put in for free is DLC quality for a lot of games as it is (even though it should've been there from the start).

Breaking from DnD is a bit surprising though. DoS 1 and 2 were made almost entirely to prove to WotC that Larian could handle the BG legacy. Wonder if something happened behind the scenes.
