yeah the zone i ended up in north of the snowfield isn’t on there so im sure some endgame stuff is missing. most of the normal “main game” route works though
yesterday I was exploring underneath the capital and jesus christ there’s so much shit under there too that isn’t even on the map. it’s incredible how massive this game is area-wise
Yeah, happened to me a couple of times already, I thought I completed some location just to go back and discover there's another big section I just missed or didn't know how to reach. The size of this games frightens me, especially since so much of it mostly optional and yet so well done
i had that with stormveil castle. went back because i knew i missed stuff because i didn’t have a stonesword key
ended up finding a stupid tree dragon and the area to upgrade a great rune
God just constantly something new in this game. Found an entire side to stormveil castle that I didn't do, and only found it because apparently the great runes can give you super buffs? Working on that now![]()

The long bridge leading away from the castle, over the water to the east. You go past a bunch of mobs, 3 giant statues and some misc stuff, but climb that tower and you can use the rune on the green symbol to unlock a new menu item at sites of grace.
Godfrey's rune gives you +5 to all stats, BUT to use the buffs you need to use a Rune Arc which is lost on death. I haven't been paying attention to how to use those yet, but I have 14 on me and I've seen them at npcs for a few thousand runes so it isn't that bad. Also, each great rune has a unique location to unlock itself with, so that deserves a

The runes tell you where to activate them. One can be a bit of hunt to figure out how to reach the tower but the rest are pretty obvious how to reach.
It also just dawned on me earlier that Radahn is actually not a required boss, though he's tied into a huge number of side quests and various endings for the game. But inevitable speedruns will likely skip him and Caelid entirely.
You can sprint in this game?!

The game absolutely tells you you can sprint, that one's on you
Bruh I got two great runes and level 100 and all I've been doing is rolling and vibe walking everywhere fml

It's even better in this game because it doesn't use stamina out of combat
