I don't do it, but I think you can do this on console too? I have torrent, food for torrent, and my lantern set to triangle hotkeys. Everything else is cycled thru X but I'm thinking of changing that now that I'm juggling so many things compared to when I first started the game

I'm in the 50s and haven't summoned anything or used any items at all outside of the health flask thing. It's not that I'm trying to do some kind of barebones run or anything, I'm just being lazy I guess.

Bruh the invasion in this feels so wonky, been trying to do the invade 3 times quest for like 3 days now and cannot invade no matter what I do. Tried following DS3 formula, SL51 with highest weapon at +8 and even in the higher level zones I cannot get an invade. Anyone got any tips on this?

Hmm, I didn't have that issue. Even in the 80s I was able to go back to Limgrave and got a couple invasions. Do you have a password on? I know it doesn't affect getting invaded, but not sure if it does when you're the invader.

Speaking of invasions, though, the area with Rykard's boss room is so bad for invasions lol. It's considered its own area so you can go there and invade people that are trying to set up for the boss. And the worse part is that the area is just a really small circle with a small tunnel, so you can go in there as the invader with an Ash of War/Spell that covers a good part of the area (not hard cause again it's really small) and basically destroy everyone.

Nope, I've tried Church, Radahns Castle, Altus, Lucaria, etc.. Everywhere. I just put the finger down and stare at "Attempting to invade world" message for 45 minutes in hopes of getting this done.

Tried this as well, tried only blue circle areas, tried areas where the symbol in the middle was large, nada.

Those 3 are actually really weak. Easiest giants I've killed yet

I tried them out and yeah they were not that bad. Just rushed them before all 3 could get going. The bow one was especially weak

Anybody have an issue where Recusant Henricus won't spawn for them?

No one really knows what's making some invaders not appear. Something you did triggered it where he won't invade anymore but there isn't a consensus on what that is yet.

There's two invaders related to the Hyetta questline that can get broken and never invade, which just kills the questline on the spot (though finishing the questline requires you to go for a very specific ending so if you're not going for that one you'd never finish the quest anyways)

I was level 160 and was able to invade at the dragon shrine in calid. Nowhere else worked.

Well, you def can't invade me, I got tired of trying two finger but hole and yeeting myself off of cliffs and decided to play offline for more immersion into the world, and haven't looked back.

Apparently it is possible to pause the game by opening up the menu and then the help screen.

Do you guys like using light load, or do you just stick to medium load forever?

I usually stick to medium. Like carrying too many weapons.

I did swap to Light early on in the game because I needed to git gud against the invader at Roundtable and was not dodging properly

Medium roll seems more than good enough in this game, always riding right at the limit between heavy and medium.

Primary weapon, shield (either Brass if I'm actually using it or Turtle for the stamina regen), whatever spell casting item I'm using, and maybe a bow/crossbow if I'm in a spot where I want to snipe or pull, then best possible armor to get right to the medium limit

i might try going light on a dual dagger build im gonna try on a new character but goddamn daggers feel awful, especially starting out

Until they fix arcane scaling properly with bleed I think daggers are gonna be kinda whack.

As it stands I think reduvia is the only really good dagger
