remains to be seen but all we've heard from both parties hitherto is that George wrote the underlying lore + history/mythos while From Software did the entirety of the narrative and art/enemy/world design. the metaphor Miyazaki used is that he's the Dungeon Master and Martin wrote the dungeon master's guidebook.

Agreed. Sorry for shitting up this thread. Game looks cool, but not my style. I'm a little burnt out of "you vs. the world; it must be you, hero!" games.

Just to nitpick, the Soulsborne games have never been a Chosen One narrative. In fact it's always been the opposite. The world is full of heroes. Your just the only one who didn't give up, or just the latest in a line of heroes. True, DS1 presents the narrative of Chosen One, but that's just a surface level lie the game tells you.

Ugh to get on pc or actually have an excuse to buy the collector’s and turn on my ps5 to play on my tv?

Fuck it, got the ps5 version, preordered, week early bday present for me.

Chances are by the time of release, i’ll double dip and get it on PC. I did the same with Sekiro and DS3, i’ll gladly support fromsoft.

Was tempting but I already have some Square Enix figs on pre-order for the coming year. Light stealth elements from Sekiro, but hopefully more streamlined RPG elements from Souls and Bloodborne. Can't wait to get rekt repeatedly in that gorgeous open world.
