Honestly, I've found some bosses easier with the mimic tear than with friends because summoning people increases the boss' HP a ridiculous amount sometimes.

alright blind run blinders momentarily taken off because i'm not sure if i'm encountering a bug or wat

realized though i can see messages from other players i've never seen a summon sign from other people, nor been called into another's world though i leave my little summon marks down / join the summoning pool. any PC bros know if you gotta enable some network bullshit somewhere or am i just regarded and missing something in the multiplayer menu

To see other people's summon signs you have to use a Furcalling Finger Remedy.

You gotta use an item for each type of summoning you want. There are also other items that allow you to invade to save someone, or allow someone to come save you from invasion. The items that do the actual summoning are consumable, the ones that allow you to save or be saved is a permanent item from some npc at the roundtable. They look like white and blue dog collars iirc

Uh, youalso find a lot of summoning items in the field, but many npcs sell them frequently and they can be crafted. I also won't spoil the questline that gives you the permanent version of the summoning items.

nah yeah i knew all that, dove to Reddit turned out a bit bugged. had to set a static IP / fuck with wonky Furcalling Finger inventory but summons now exist. game is A1 but damn the PC port is buggy, also ran into a p bad HDR bug that took some finessing

least it runs like a dream on my rig, 60 FPS with basically no dipping. looks quite good when HDR is functioning properly too.
