after beating the life out of nioh 2 i am ready for this to scratch that itch again. do fromsoftware games generally do gearing like nioh with set bonuses and what not or is it just piece by piece?

Nope, also gearing isn't like Nioh where you get tons of item drops, there's usually just one copy of an item per run available

Actual pro tip: sick looking steelbook is included for free with the standard edition from Best Buy. IMO it's much cooler than the steelbook included in the collector's edition, it looks like the art book instead.

i watched Vaati's video this morning, game looks fuckin amazing. if they can fill up the open-world with enough interesting biz + the stealth / riding mechanics are up to the level of the core Soulsborne gameplay it's heading towards being an all-timer.
