Yeah I got the hang of it after going back to it freshened up from sleep! It's not too bad indeed, but now knowing purple gun girl is coming and i really liked her since seeing her in the story I'm gonna wait for that and save my primos because as cool as fire girl is she's just...... dropped here this patch (I've not done MSQ yet for this patch so maybe I guess she plays a main role).

Arle has been around since the start of Fontaine? Maybe patch 2 and while not a main focus of any prior patch, she's been involved in more stuff than you'd think. She also bullies Furina so, there's that.

Honestly I've been playing game on mute since 2021 and then not really read or watched a single cutscene (I always do something on the side while playing). So I might have missed it haha

But Clorinde !!! I noticed her in cutscenes and taken more of a liking to her.

oops quit for a month because FFXI happened (again). as much as I miss the resources I could have been accumulating during that time (esp welkin) it's nice to take a break, the game feels fresh again.

one of the dialogue options in the quest I'm doing (petrichor) was "oh god, more world-building again already?" and that made me feel like, hey, at least they're self-aware about this shit lol

You missed the cat cafe event where you got to pet multiple cats and even got to adopt one.

I mean I don't even need to skip all the dialogue, but once NPC A has told me the gist of their story, I can skip past the remaining eight boxes of dialogue expanding upon that story with flowery language that don't actually add anything interesting. I love the story, I hate the excessive dialogue.

also this game feels kinda dead rn but I wonder if that's just the patch cycle? certainly people will come back for Natlan. feels a lot like when XIV playerbase dips at the end of a major patch cycle

I think it might be the patch cycle. It feels like Fontaine has gone on forever at this point. I assume we'll get another summer event before Natlan. I still enjoy logging in to do my daily stuff.

Good luck to everyone going for Clorinde and/or Sethos. I ended up winning the 50/50 at 81. The new Domain still sucks, so I just threw on random artifacts I already had leveled.

The X.7 patch is always a pretty big lull in the game. 4.8 will set up Natlan and that will bring a bunch of the interest back.

I haven't really been playing Genshin for a while now, but Clorinde was so cool in the story missions I did do that I wanted to log in and try to pull for her. Seems like not playing for a while gives you some extra pity because I got both her and Sethos (which I also kinda wanted since I like his design) in my first 10-pull.

Got Clorinde in 30 pulls (was already at 50 and guaranteed), lost my first weapon banner 50/50 to LoFI at 20, then lost my second 50/50 to Skyward Spine. But then I got Absolution at the end of that same 10-pull, so it evened out in the end.

I'm back up to 60 pity on the character banner from trying to get a single copy of Sethos, but I give up lol. Still ~35k primos in the bank and about 260 Fates worth of Starglitter as well. In fairly good shape heading into Natlan, though I have a lot of exploration to catch up on.

I'ma skip. 33K crystals and as cool as she looks, doesn't really bring anything new or interesting. Plus I have zero Chev, let alone a C6, to really have fun.

Emilie's animations are out now. I wasn't planning on going for her at first, but after seeing how she works and a small showcase, I think she's going to end up meta.

Yep you need to rotate your members in and do elemental reaction combos.
For example, get someone wet with a water character and then swap in an ice character to freeze them!
