The only way I found to consistently avoid it was to use an ult to iframe it. I'm sure there's a trick to it though.

It's un-dodgeable, there's a reason they've been giving gear and food that buffs shield strength, I just pop Noelle's shield to eat it and take no damage.

Edit- just think of it like them finally adding tank busters.

Is there any way to avoid his lightning plunge attack in the 2nd and 3rd forms? (the one that looks like a DRG jump after you have an electric ring around you)

I'm naively hoping it's just his third form we fight every week since that's the one with a unique arena

Nope, it's all 3 phases (after you do his character quest after the story the domain unlocks for weekly)

No way to avoid it other than having tanky characters or healing. I did it with barb/klee/jean/xing and just facetanked everything popping heals occasionally. No food or buffs, I didnt know what I was walking into.

It's just slightly annoying to have an un-skippable CS during the weekly Childe fight. Did get two skill mats though.

I didn't even realize the fight was active until I saw your post. I ended up doing matchmaking for it since there was no way I was doing lv. 80 solo. First attempt we did I got one-shot in the first or second phase. Next attempt we easily won and got a triumph for no one getting hit after being marked (I think that's what it was).

Can't remember how long it's been since I last got a prototype weapon.

Shit, I forgot prototypes can even drop, haven't seen one since like week 1 lol. I'm sure whenever I do get one it'll be one for a weapon I don't even use since I only use one crafted weapon anyway and that's the Animus greatsword.

If you're talking about the cutscene between the second and third phase, that one can be skipped.

Stormterror is pretty easy and I think Childe is an incredibly close second. I run Chong + Frischl and swap to Diluc when they are on CD. Barb 60 heals enough. I struggle far more with the wolf which NEVER STANDS STILL.

Borealis is pretty easy with a ranged character, staying at medium range. Not the fastest, but very safe even in phase two, where you have to dodge and circle some. If you really wanted to short circuit him, eat some buffs/use potions and burst him down once he goes into last phase.

BTW, for those farming the event, the exp books and mora are worth using the resin for, as well as the talent books. Should only take about 4 days of full resin, after you pick up everything and do the prior quests.

Need to? No. The 5* rate in this game is suuuuuuuuuuper low so getting one off the bat is nice. But 4*s are great in this game so it's really up to whether or not you feel comfortable spending the time it takes to reroll.

How long to rerolls take and do they require different emails or is it a simple method?

Speed rerolling requires you play the male character and it's 25 minutes, I believe. You can do everything in the game with free characters/gear. There are plenty of people who have shown doing the hardest content with absolutely zero pulls. I don't think it's worth. The event going on gives Frischl, which is bonkers considering how amazing she plays.
