Zhongli will tide me over until Xiao's possible release in Feb since Albedo and Ganyu are gonna be skips for me. Not like I can handle that many more characters anyway since it takes 16 days without refreshes and no resources to level a character from scratch.

If this event is anything like a standard, for future events, then it's going to be a lot easier to level characters, which is a good thing. My Childe is almost L80 and probably will be tonight, with L6 talents and L80 weapon; artifacts not included.

The Fischl event is limited time only right? I finished all of part one and have done like 16 of the 30 required meteorites for part 2 (so all 14 or 15 or however many needed for Fischl). How tedious is part 3 and should I be getting on that right away considering I haven't touched the game in like 4 days?

It's not that hard, it'll mainly depend on your resin limits. I finished both yesterday (did enough to clear out the important items from both rewards pages) The part 3 event took me about 6mins average per clear solo.

Part 3 you need 280 resin (7 clears, 40 resin each)

Actually, thinking about it, that's only to claim the rewards so if you just ignore that and keep redoing event like the crucible you should easily get 7 clears easy, assuming it counts if you spend no resin.

Each purple book from the event shop would normally cost you ~80 resin from Domains to obtain normally. 40 resin will get you enough meteorite dust to buy 4 people books at a time. It's by far the best way to spend your resin right now until you've bought out the entire shop.

The events we've had so far, all whoppin 2 of 'em, and likely future events all seem to be tuned to be more resin efficient at all world levels than the normal ways of getting the mats. It's looking like crowns might be event exclusive material to boot which means no one is maxing out character talents for a good long while assuming you luck out on rng with the weekly mats.

on that note, anyone else level up a character to 90? I keep hearing to put it off as the gains don't match the resource expenditure, but I feel like making an exception for your main DPS is probably smart

I would level up your main dps' to 90 because level is a factor in the damage calculation, but for supports it's probably not a huge rush.

Okay, did 4 runs today pretty easy peasy. Should get the last 3 I need tomorrow no problem. I'll farm as many of the books as I can (I have 30 of those resin refill items) but yeah, should finally get Fischl in my party.

Conversely I managed to draw Diona today and have come to the realization that I hate myself for doing so many 10 draws early on. I could have had so much more cool shit +_+

When you're doing your pulls, do 1 at a time +_+, not 10

Only reason to do pulls 1 at a time instead of ten is if you want to maximize your 4* pity (every 10 rolls is guaranteed a 4* if you didn't get it before) and/or you're trying to get as close to 5* pity as possible without popping it to get ready for the next banner while still trying to scum some 4* from the current banner. It's basically what I did to c6 Ningguang without popping 5* pity and it was close as shit.

gather everything; your inventory is enormous and you never know when you will suddenly need 100+ of that one species of flower you ignored to level up your new character. channel your inner skyrim hoarder and just grab everything all the time until you really feel like you know what you can ignore (cough mint cough)

also, there are treasures hidden all over the map called "geoculi" and "amenoculi" that are part of a completion task to get more stamina. if you want to save yourself a headache down the line, consider using a map like the following to track them as you collect them. it's not 100% necessary since the game gives you tools to help locate them, but it helps a lot

So is it normal to be gated on the main quest by AR? Expected it to happen... just not a AR7. Am I missing some major quests to get to AR10?
