It seems like a baby step and they don't want to accidently overcompensate buffing him and simultaneously fuck the balance of the game (which is already jacked, pyro wins everything). They clearly want to keep his playstyle of support with shields the same just with QoL adjustments. Hopefully they adjust his energy regen on his skill some more before changes arrive on the live servers. Ningguang got slightly more busted though and that's some chef's kiss right there.

With ning what qualifies as being covered by a shield? Proximity? Orientation?

Whenever she has a shield active on her she gets the buff, so any elemental shield created from crystallize reactions or any shield created from skills i.e. Zhongli, Diona, or Xinyan's shield.

Zhongli helped me eke out a win on Childe last night because of shields. Was running Jean, Razor, Benny, Xiangling. But my Xiangling isn't leveled worth a damn so. Took a risk, gave up Pyro resonance, put in Zhongli.

Speaking of Ning; any verdict on a 4* catalyst for her? I see mixed opinions on Mappa Mare/Prototype Malice/Solar pearl, but not sure which. Only have the Favonius Codex right now, which seems bad on her.

Solar Pearl, if you go battle pass, otherwise, you're stuck with Mappa, if you haven't rolled anything else. Elemental Mastery doesn't do anything for Geo DPS, as it just increased shield strength. Not that it isn't helpful, but it's hard to beat crit damage.

Somewhat depends on how good Albedo is, but Bennett is a great buff + heals support, Sucrose has a really useful talent for crafting weapon ascension mats, and Fischle is about as strong an off-field DPS you'll see. As usual, roll for the 4* constellations and get a 5* along the way.

I have Sucrose but don't use her; just not enough resources to invest in her, sadly.

What sets are people running on Jean and Razor, for those who have? I've read 2x Gladiator/2x Bloodstained for Razor, but Jean's pretty versatile.

I have C6 Fisch so if albedo isn't good I may not throw any rolls. I don't want to waste primos on constellation overflow.

So in deciding whether to use my 90 pity between these Albedo and Ganyu and I'm thinking Albedo is gonna get the nod.... Ganyu sounds like an Amber Clone (all the way down to exploding decoy E skill)

I have Qiqi, lol. Jean is the only healer in the game that can cleanse all elemental debuffs, and she can CC/lower elemental resistance/do damage on top of healing, which Qiqi cannot.

Qiqi can DPS just fine, her healing scales off attack, and her E can easily heal for like 5-6k per tick, which I don’t think Jeans can.

Plus Qiqi pairs better with most characters then Jean does, pair Qiqi and Razor for Superconduct and watch him eat shit alive.

I do agree Jean has fantastic utility, but I’d not call her the best healer.

Ganyu's playstyle is charged attack heavy since she has bonkers modifiers on it. She's an Amber clone only in the similarities of her skills (taunt E, AoE circle Q). Not sure if I want either of them since Xiao is coming in late Feb, though he's already nerfed from the last beta he was in.

I got c4 Fish so I'm tossing some rolls on Albedo and praying.
