Genshin Impact (PC/PS5/PS4/NSW/iOS) - Open-World Action RPG - 2020

I never really got into the game when it launched. But decided to give it a try again with Raiden's release and been having a blast and having a lot more fun then I ever thought I would. They fixed a lot of the small things that really bothered me. Though re Raiden I can't use her until I get to the new island and that seems like a far ways off lolz.

Any long term tips I should keep in mind? I am still in Liyue and just finished the Adepti quest line (so still pretty early on), but adventure rank 32.

Don't start farming Artifacts until AR 50, honestly. It's a waste of resin to do it before then. Just focus on ascending your characters, and once you hit AR 36 you can start farming talent books for the characters you're using a lot.

AR45 unlocks the highest difficulty Artifact dungeons. But they will probably be very difficult for him. I would recommend trying the co-op function for that and hoping some stronger people do it for the lulz.

Main thing to watch for early is just to always use resin. AR40 unlocks the highest talent dungeons, always good to stock up on those even if you don't have the weekly boss items to do the talents. That's probably the best use of resin from AR40-44, then artifacts after that. Talent dungeons will be easier, though. I'd mostly rush the main story as that should be your best way to get AR up, once you unlock all the dungeons it's super easy to spend your resin each day. And if you want to drop your UID here, I've got no problem carrying you through any dungeons if you have issue with if I'm around. They're all quite easy (aside from some fuck ups lul) when you've been at 'endgame' for a while.

Yeah, my girlfriend is a casual and when I went to get her some early artifacts I would bring her poorly built Barbara just because the groups needed some healing.

So, I decided to spend some money on this banner, even though people say she's underwhelming I like her style, bought a crystal pack to do 2x10 pulls + did some pulls from my primogames - did not get Kokomi but ended up with Rosaria, Keqing, Yanfei and Xingqiu(C1), none of whish I had before, so I guess I can't complain ;P

r/KeqingMains is really good too for general theorycrafting, not just Keqing

Thanks! My main units are Jean, Hu Tao, Noelle, Raiden (but stuck at 40), Barbara and Bennet. But Bennett is lacking behind a little and I need to level him. I have been focusing on Hu Tao because she is my main boss killer and with Noelle's Shield it gives her some of the much needed damage reduction when I am at 1k hp lol. Jean and her are my best built and highest level characters.

The only dungeon I have been farming is the one for the Hu Tao's pyro artifacts, but otherwise doing ley lines for the weekly and mostly world boss farming for ascending characters. I have not looked into talents yet but I should start doing that....

Are blue artifacts worth leveling at all or should it be purple+ only?

I'd do a little of purple for your primary characters, and that's about it. Once you hit AR45 you can start getting the orange stuff which never gets better (other than the impact of RNG and such).

If anyone else here needs fish for the Catch, you're welcome to come to my world. Going to keep it friends only until the 1st, then I'll let randoms fish. I just fished the electro fish (forgot name) and 2 bitter puffers I needed to finish R5, so those won't be back for 3 days, but everything else respawned today.

I tried for Kokomi despite how terrible I hear she is since I like her design. Late 50/50 gave me Mona (C2). Used the rest of the primos/crystals and I'm 49 into guaranteed. I'm taking it as a sign to skip her for someone else. Kinda sucks since I had pre-farmed a decent amount of her ascension materials, but oh well. Decided that I'm going to work on upgrading current characters while I save primos/wishes for whoever (likely Yae since she's rumoured to be the Electro DPS ceiling).

Yae will be bae. Mihoyo is coming off a fuckton of drama and they know how much the player base loves Yae. I wager they'll tune her fairly high, so I'm thinking you heard right.

Edit: apparently we're supposed to be getting a free Xinyan in 2.2, don't know how I missed that. Super excited, Xinyan is also bae. Been running her as a main dps lately and while she's not top tier she's fun as fuck to use

Leakers say Yae will be on par with Ganyu, but electric. Must be the buff we've been wanting.

Also, purple artifacts are perfectly fine to use, when starting out or to finish a set, and can be fed later, if need be. A few of my characters still have purples on because the rolls were just what they needed, and already had 3/4 sub-stats on drop.
