Genshin Impact (PC/PS5/PS4/NSW/iOS) - Open-World Action RPG - 2020

I've been looking to get back into genshin, last time I played was when it newly came out and I played on my smartphone lol. How's the game's content nowadays?

The game has a ton of content now and they are always adding more characters, new areas, etc. There are three main areas now instead of two, and they are adding a fourth in a few months (not official yet, but we all know it's coming). Now would be a great time to join the game, with one large caveat: Playing some of the events and leveling some of the characters requires you to be further along in the story, and that can be a pain. For example if you pulled Raiden Shogun, one of the top DPS/support units and overall best units in the game, you would not be able to level her up fully until you got to the third area. That's not the biggest deal in the world because you could still level her up to 40 in the meantime, but it's not great either. Hopefully they fix that problem at some point soon because it's only going to get worse as they add more areas.

So after getting absolutely fucked trying to get Yelan (went to 85, lost the 50/50 to Qiqi, had to go to 83 the second time), I decided to gamble the last of my primos away on the weapon banner for her bow since another Jadespear wouldn't be the end of the world. Went to 65, got the spear, was a little butthurt, then got the Simulacra on my next 10 pull.

Honestly, if I'd gotten any constellation other than Qiqi I'd call that a fairly successful patch's worth of summons. Coulda been C2 Diluc, C2 Mona, C2 Jean... C5 Keqing... Now I just save since I have no interest in any of the reruns coming up.

I pulled for Kokomi on her rerun specifically to get the OP-as-fuck Ayaka Shenhe freeze comp going haha. I'm half tempted to refine the spear for Xiao but they add so many polearm characters now that I feel like I'm better off just keeping the extra for a rainy day. If I didn't have Calamity Queller I could maybe give it to Shenhe. Maybe I'll just go for some kind of meme Thoma build.

but if you want a real answer, nothing. this game's meta only matters in the spiral abyss, the game itself is ez pz with any team. if you want to catch up with the spiral abyss meta... thousands lol

I think it took me about 2 weeks to get to Inazuma and unlock just about everything, but that was also with me knowing what to do and where to go. So it's possible for new players to get there relatively fast, but they'll have to look up info.

One good thing is that once you're able to leave the Port at the start of Inazuma, you can unlock all the additional islands without progressing the story. I was even able to take my Waverider down to the Wolflord. That seems to be the only island that requires story progression to unlock more than a couple points.

Congrats! I think I got her in 11-15 pulls, thankfully. Didn't hit my 50/50 pity yet, so I stopped there. I would go for Itto if Kazuha wasn't up next.

Nothing, you'll just need time to catch up on quests/story. I started a f2p account within the last month and I'm nearly caught up on things already.

Abyss would be the only thing that changed since you stopped playing, but apparently the current cycle is super easy with people clearing with teams of 2 on each side.

Keqing C1, Itto C1, 4 Gouro, 1 Kuki, 1 Rosaria, R5'd Favinious Warbow, and almost 10 Chongus in about 25K crystals. Still plenty left over and Yomiya isn't for a while, so I'm good.

But fuck off Chongus, I already mostly hate you even in Ayaka/Shenhe/Kokomi/Chongus party, and now even more so, but your somewhere in the neighborhood of C27 now, and Rosaria is only C1.

I once spent several hundred dollars chasing a water ninja in PAD who was the equivalent of 4*. I don't even remember her name anymore. 4* characters are secretly the true whale bait because they are never guaranteed yet the odds say you *should* get one soon, so you keep wishing...

Congrats! That has to be one of the rarest namecards due to how long it takes to complete the 3rd part of one of the farming ones. For those unaware, one of the plots can use Valberries for 4x the speed. Another can use Silk Flowers for 2x speed. The water one only has single yield options. Because of that single yield option, I think it takes a literal year at best to complete.

There abouts. 5 minutes to gather in the world and plant each time puts it at at least a days worth of playtime, which really isn't that much; just some dedication to keep at it over a year's time.

New character costumes have been leaked. The 5* one is pretty amazing, not the biggest fan of the 4* one but it's free so yolo.
