Had similar problems with my Bluetooth dongle, but it ended up being a drivers issue. I ended up using an older version and it worked fine, ymmv.
I also have a problem with my elite V2. The RB is fucked up, half the time not depressing correctly, or double tapping which is quite annoying in a game like Apex lol. Little upset that it contains all the features I want in a controller, but I'd be lying if I said the build quality is excellent.

Having the same issue with RB on my elite v2. That and anolog dropping inputs. Just sent it in to be repaired/refurbished. Sent me a new one without issue. Now just waiting for FedEx lol.
I just want the bluetooth to stay connected to my tablet so i can play stuff at work lol
I had, hands down, the worst experience having my elite 2 controller fixed by Microsoft.
I was requested to send the controller back in its entirety (typically they ask for you to send only the unit). So I did. I sent everything including the box it came in, as requested.
From that point on it took nearly 4 months for them to return the contents back to me. It took three months for the first package to arrive to the correct address. I spoke with probably 20-30 different representatives who each validated my address (as the wrong one) who then corrected it (but it was never really corrected) and spent easily 100+ hours on the phone in total. Every time I was on the phone they tried to tell me it was my fault for having sent them all of the contents then I would have to escalate it to a manager to review my original service request which had notes specifying that I was requested to send everything.
I never lost my patience and never specifically blamed anyone but I did become very frustrated when I spoke with some relatively higher up individual and tried to explain the service gaps in their process and all he wanted to do, or thought to do, was to expedite my shipping if I needed to replace it in the future (the unit I received has stick drift and the RB1 works like half the time unless I click it really hard). After spending enough time on the phone, during which I would’ve earned enough to buy the controller 20x+ over, I declined his offer and said I’ll just buy a scuf (fantastic company btw) and I’m completely done with Xbox after this generation.
My Elite 1 turned out to be a piece of shit so I haven't bought an Elite 2 yet. Was going to decide between that and Scuf soon for Halo.
It's enough to make me want to look at a scuf, and if both seem pretty similar to you I'd try the scuf tbh

The fact it started deteriorating in under a year really rubbed me the wrong way. Granted I use it every day usually but still. $180 for that price I could get three standard xbox controllers. At least the warrant is good on it.
Speaking of scuf, Kotaku has a review of the newest scuf that goes against the Microsoft Elite controller.

I'll just throw my anecdotal experience in here too, in that I had a launch version of the series 1 and it lasted me right up until about a month before the series 2 was announced when the RB broke. Never had any stick drift, never had rubber peeling issues. I replaced it with a white series 1 because the series 2 hadn't been announced yet, and that one has been fine for me so far.
I had a scuf for my PS4 and the difference felt night and day to me, honestly. The scuf controller felt cheap, it was less customizable, and when one of the paddles stopped working their customer service was total trash. It's been several years so maybe they've improved, but until I have a bad experience with Microsoft I'll probably just stick to the Elites.
Since we're all giving testimonials, I also had a series 1 white controller for years with absolutely zero issues. Sold it to bring the price of the series 2 down, plus the features on the series 2 are just everything you could want up until the PS5 controller came around.

From what I saw online the Elite 1’s had far less issues than the Elite 2. There’s a class action lawsuit regarding the Elite 2.
I can understand the “quality” feeling between the scuf and the elite. The elite 2 feels rock solid. I could put it through a wall. The Scuf would probably explode. I’m very curious about the brand new Xbox scuf they introduced though. I’m going to have to check out that comparison article mentioned above.
Edit: the Scuf feels way way better when playing FPS and racing games but is serviceable for any type of game. The elite 2 is great for pretty much anything else.
ZOE collection for free? Fuck yeah

Hey Xbox bros I need a new controller for my PC, which color of the series x controllers do you like best?
Red Blue or Volt.
They are all $59 so it seems like a decent time to grab one and for PC gaming it seems to be preferred over the PS5 controller.
I got an unopened black series x controller sitting in my closet. $50 shipped?

If you can find one in stock anywhere I'd get an 8bitdo Pro 2 over the Series controller.
Anyone experience the X-Box controller dropping in the middle of a game? Was trying out River City girls and couldn't get past the first screen cause my controller kept disconnecting.
sometimes my audio just cuts out for like 10-15 seconds, but I'm using some old turtle beaches so idk if the fault lies with them or the controller. on rare occasions my controller does disconnect/stop responding but that's infrequent enough to not bother me too much (annoying in the moment though)
