Starting October 1st (tomorrow), Xbox reward points can no longer be used on Game Pass subs. Instead they'll have to be used on Xbox gift cards first, increasing the cost by at least 6k.
also gamepass getting shittier/more expensive

PC only gamepass will go from 12 to 16 and otherwise match the ultimate tier. So that one is still a pretty good deal.
it's obviously why they locked it behind the 30 bucks, but I'd happily pay the 15 for day one drops and forego all the cloud bullshit and 'added benefits' like fortnite, ubisoft, and riot shit
Premium is still a pretty good deal, as it now includes PC and Xbox like Ultimate does, and it's still only $15 USD.
I'm almost certainly cancelling Ultimate though. I don't need any of the Riot/Fortnite garbage and I usually buy day 1 titles anyway. I'm not paying ~$45 CAD/month for that shit, lol.
I still think 16 is too much for what is essentially the convenience of not having to high seas a single player game. I'm selling my Xbox. I don't even really like most of their day one exclusives; I play for a day or two then uninstall it.

The 10% discount towards Call of Duty content has been removed from the Ultimate tier.
newegg has the 3 month cards for 55 bucks, so I grabbed a couple, but once I don't have that option I'm probably dropping to the cheapest plan. if I didn't need it to play with my friends on there I'd cancel entirely

Xbox is internally testing a free version of their cloud service that is ad supported.

More than just CoD. All Ultimate tier 10% discounts have been removed.
ffs
lmao what are they even doing
Just seems more like a glorified demo tool at that point, to see if something is worth your time with a little input lag, before committing to an 80gb+ download if you got slow internet like I.
So it’s been confirmed that Costco is no longer selling Xbox consoles and games in store and now it looks like, at least on a store by store level (not nationwide) Wal-Marts and Targets are beginning to pull them as well. That might be the canary in the coal mine for Xbox I think.
