I mean, it looks identical to the first game, so...
Going to need more than gorilla glue to get me to play this atm. If all we really get is Zelda Builders, it's going to be really boring.
Now now, what's a Nintendo game without a gimmick! We can't make the same game twice just *improved*, or we'd have a new F-Zero by now!
Enjoy that new gimmick! Same hardware. Same engine. New Gimmick!
I'm really sus of the lack of showing dungeons. They clearly know it was a complaint with the previous game, but when does Nintendo listen to feedback? The sales speak for themselves: people will buy anything from Big N.
I liked the mini dungeons AND the weapon durability system lol
fusing looks goofy as absolute shit and i'm going to abuse the shit out of the mechanic to absolute gamebreaking ends
BotW excelled because it allowed extraordinarily creative sandboxing in a world that allowed for a level of reactive and emergent gameplay that hasn't really been surpassed by any other open world game all these years later (shoutout to its spiritual predecessor The Phantom Pain). if they just give us that but more the game will be great. if they throw in some real dungeons + more enemy variety on top of it a mastapiece.
People are going to like different things, it's fine to not like BotW. Was it a perfect game? No, it had a ton of flaws.
But don't act like it wasn't almost universally praised. Nintendo is making a game that is building on one of the most highly regarded games for the Switch that is clearly inspired by the crazy creativity players loved. How is that not listening to feedback?
Also, take away the ten minutes of gameplay which was showing off new mechanical features and we've seen what, less than five minutes of footage of this game?
sephiroth can
I look forward to all posts from people who spent over 150 hours on the game just to find out that its the worst game ever made in the history of gaming.
Hylian Shield + Cucco = impenetrable death swarm?? game is too fucking broken, literally the worst game ever made in the history of gaming.

Petting to be determined.
just hope we can fuse a dog with another dog
1) Agreed.
2) It was universally praised, and for good reason. Making the same game with a new gimmick is Nintendo's thing, though, and that's not my depiction of "listening to feedback". The game automatically wins for me (from Nintendo standards, that is) for not having yet another Zelda with an end-dungeon boss with an eye that must be attacked 3 times with the gimmick item of the dungeon.
3) That sounds like a Nintendo problem (insofar as a "problem" for them still makes them copious amounts of lucre). If they want people to not criticize the same-y-ness of the footage they've shown us compared to the previous game, the solution is to, obviously, show us footage that isn't exactly the same as the previous game but with a new gimmick.
You realize you can show the inside of a dungeon without spoilering everything about the boss/items/layout inside of it, right? The game comes out, what, next month?
None of this matters, though. The game will sell gangbusters. Its all meaningless words through a keyboard.
