Iran has 400kg of uranium enriched to 60% purity. If they continue to enrich that material up to 90% purity they will have the capability of making nuclear warheads.

For comparison nuclear power plants run on 5% purity uranium.

Uranium that's enriched as high as they've been doing has no other purpose other than to make a nuclear warhead in the future.

i know next to nothing about the subject but I've seen claims about it being necessary/useful for developing radiopharmaceuticals or something, although obviously even if that's the case that wouldn't prevent it from being used as a convenient cover
