the deal the US withdrew from and began unilaterally sanctioning Iran in violation of ?
Iran is not the good guys, in basically any circumstances, but we don't have to infantilize history. the United States, along with the P5 and EU, signed a diplomatic deal with Iran to provide economic relief in exchange for them not pursuing nuclear weaponization. we withdrew from the deal despite all other signatories imploring us not to. we punished them economically in the exact ways the deal was designed to end. they then violated the terms of the deal re uranium enrichment. these are the simplest of facts in the most basic of timelines.
The same deal Biden tried to re-engage with which would've provided said economic relief which they declined to do so.
Say what you want about Trumpito and his idiotic stance to back out of it, but an effort was made to make things right and they told the US and the rest of JCPOA signatories to fuck off. This even despite the rest of the P5 still honoring the deal.
How quick motherfuckas forget a supposed random pile of 90 billion dollars sent to Iran to try and stop their nuclear program was used as a huge campaign reference for Republicans this past election cycle.
yeah it's weird further negotiation was more difficult after the US ripped up the original one and violated it within a couple years of signing
Diplomacy was tried and failed. The US tried to re-engage and Iran told them nah we're good. IAEA sounds the alarm Iran is enriching uranium beyond what's the expected acceptable limit of a non-nuclear equipped nation. The international intelligence community agrees with Israel's initial actions on Iran. Timelines may vary wildly between nations but they did as such with just as much political fervor in 2015.
I'm sorry but the "that orange guy is an asshole and America voted him back in" is such a piss poor and myopic excuse to try and hand wave Iran's very real nuclear program.
i gotta go w/ xno. iran really has made their own bed on this one. it's been decades in the making. there's plenty of egg to go around for everyone's face in the middle east, but iran sitting there with the bowl on top of their head and they put it there themselves.
So after Vance, Rubio, and Hesgeth made all the media rounds this morning saying it wasn’t looking for a regime change Trump is like nah fuck it let’s get a regime change, MIGA! lmao

I want specific facts and not the feels of normal BG. The entire international intelligence community agreed with the actions but clearly you have some noteworthy and unknown data unexplained by thousands of trained DFE trained investigators.
We had an agreement set with Obama in place that worked, then Trump yanked it out cuz "black guy did it" and refused to come to the table with anything reasonable. Then they told them they wanted to talk and dropped bombs on them a day later instead of the 2 weeks even after Iran stated they were willing to come to the table as long as the US didn't assist Israel. That's just the current goings on, minus the years and years of us as a country fucking over all of the middle east including Iran in every way possible including Stuxnet.
Far as I was aware the entire intelligence community agreed there was no chance they had anything close to nukes. Even Trump's own staff stated that and then rolled it back when he said that wasn't true for fear of upsetting him. We did this entire song and dance already after 9/11 and this shit is stupid as fuck. The entire international intelligence community agreed with the actions
They refused to come back to the negotiation table when Trump wasn't in charge and it's been confirmed that they had uranium enriched well beyond what they were allowed to which directly led us to our current situation.
Trump abandoned the JCPOA in 2018, scuttling the deal that was extremely successful at removing all enriched uranium and centrifuges from Iran, and demonstrated that the US and the Trump administration particularly wasn't to be trusted.
Everything about the current situation stems from Trump's actions destroying diplomacy.

Trump is Bibi's bitch, Israel says jump and we ask how high, our military serves them, it's fucking embarrassing.
Israel doesn't want peace, they hated that Obama successfully neutered Iran's nuclear program, and now through Trump they have all the violence they crave.

So just ignore all facts because your feelings say otherwise. Gotcha. Good night fellas.
It doesn't matter who's 'in charge' national governments are supposed to have a continuance between elected officials. The US government made an agreement and then broke it, in what world does that not destroy the value of the US' word? Why would any nation believe diplomacy would be worth pursuing after that?
