The Shah was deposed 47 years ago. If he is reinstalled, he will be (probably accurately) be seen as a puppet of the US (again).

If Trump had any sense he'd stay the fuck out of the fall and try to pick the best bad option afterwards instead of writing in his own worse answer.

Following that logic, and adding that the administration always does everything in the dumbest way, that's what they're going to do. They're going to re-install the Shah of Iran.
