Senator Chris Murphy (Connecticut) gave a base overview, without getting into classified information, of a cabinet meeting he was just in. The tl;dr is there isn't a current plan to hit nuclear facilities, no regime change, and no plan to open the Straight of Hormuz. The goal of this war is much more simplified, total destruction of their military capabilities. It's largely why they didn't expect Iran's response. Also, should they restart their military complex, the plan is to restart the bombing campaign.

Of course he didn't do shit with the degree, but that's due to his own fucking stupidity and choices he made pre army

And mind you, the army still took him despite a misdemeanor DV (his girlfriend tried to slap him awake when he was blacked out drunk, he decked her not knowing it was her, and his PD told him to take a plea not knowing the ramifications, even though he was able to get it removed after he got out) and technically couldn't own a firearm. Though he found that part out when he went to get his first personal gun.

Military really only cares if a crime is committed while serving. I have an old friend who had a dishonorable discharge for getting a DUI shortly from returning from the Iraq War.
