I don't know if you recall, but Trump demanded that Republicans reverse their anti-Russia stance when it came to them, again, if you recall, invading and annexing part of the country. You'll perhaps understand if Trump was not who they wanted in the Oval Office.

Also I just want a point of clarification here - you are stating that you believe Trump is completely without corruption, and every politician opposing him IS corrupt. I just want that on the record going forward for anyone else that might try to interact with you.

Thing I'm seeing now is this circulating spin that it's okay for Trump to ask foreign countries like Ukraine to investigate corruption because of a deal struck by the Clintons in the 90s.

The republican congress spent 4 years on a witch hunt into a political opponent and all they could find was an email issue no one would of cared about if it was someone other then Hilliary Clinton so yeah safe to say republicans only care about corruption when it involves a political opponent.

It's the treaty with Ukraine for mutual legal assistance in criminal matters blah blah. Signed in the late 90s. It's a stupid argument. Trump never brought it up in the call. And it's something that would be referred to Justice Dept. And it's asking a country to interfere in an election. Pick a reason. It's reaching for post hoc justifications.

Iranian hackers have been targeting the Trump re-election campaign.

"Today we're sharing that we've recently seen significant cyber activity by a threat group we call Phosphorus, which we believe originates from Iran and is linked to the Iranian government," a Microsoft statement reads.

Phosphorus, it said, made more than 2,700 attempts to identify people's email accounts over a 30-day period in August and September. It then attacked 241 accounts.

"The targeted accounts are associated with a US presidential campaign, current and former US government officials, journalists covering global politics and prominent Iranians living outside Iran," Microsoft said.

Reuters reported it was President Trump's re-election campaign, citing sources familiar with the operation.

According to Microsoft, only four accounts were eventually compromised, and none of these were associated with a campaign, nor any former or current officials.

The hackers tried to take over the accounts, in attacks Microsoft called "not technically sophisticated".
