I agree with this. And to an extent, albeit my own thought process behind it, attempts to defend the way minorities are treated unfairly on our own soil.

The age old argument of how can the US police the world whilst having such egregious unrest within it's own borders comes to mind.

one could agrue it's incredibly insensitive to the family of the deceased, i could see that being reason enough to fire someone. imo the drawing is made in bad faith. not everyone shares the same political agenda when exploiting the deaths of minorities and children

I am pretty sure this has been the MO in regards to political cartoons forever. They exploit situations to make powerful statements about politics. It is what they do. This isn't any different.

Victims' families are probably more upset they died seeking asylum than people who are attacking the man that has instituted policies that contributed to this father and daughter dying seeking asylum.

my guess is that's what would have happened if he submitted it to be in the paper or whatever it is that he works for, twitter/social media is a different world though. he posted it on his twitter, representing his company
