Go back to where I originally presented the idea. Two other people agreed that it's not surprising he was fired. There's a million reasons he could have been for posting that.

1. Company wanted to avoid scandals
2. Company is pro Trump
3. Company thought it was insensitive to the dead children

But as I said, I can see it easily. I can't make you see what I see. There are no facts to debate here

So it looks like he was working freelance, so he wasn't fired from anything, he had made several political cartoons and been asked to stop by one of his clients and then when this one went viral his contract was cancelled.

As for the Trump one, the lie there is that he's asking if he can play through. Bitch would just do it without care or whine about some illegals ruining his shot (much like all those fraudulent votes for Hillary, amirite?!).

I'll sit on the side of it not being fireable or worthy of terminating his contract. The mention that it might be a Pro-Trump paper is the more worrisome take you can get from this given the existence of Fox News and other GOP propaganda outlets. It sends the message you can't assail Trump's (lack of) character without consequence. Something we've most definitely seen before a la Kathy Griffin and the decapitation effigy. And while not the government meting out the punishment, thus making it a 1st amendment violation, it is still flirting very close to this line coming from a newspaper. Said paper also skimping on the oversight to keep it from print if they found it offensive is also on them, not the artist. If anything, they Streisan'd the fuck out of the image by trying to bury the guy.

Hi the cartoonist, a freelancer, failed to get a contract renewal from a totally different newspaper company (they went with another guy) than the newspaper company that published the cartoon. It is not like this guy had a full time job at one paper, published the cartoon there, and then got fired because regrets.

AOC calls out the US Border Patrol after ProPublica reveals a Facebook group called "I'm 10-15", that is made up of 9500 current and former border agents, consisted of memes targeting Latino political figures and disparaging claims to have been abusing detained migrants.

According to ProPublica, members of the group mocked Latino members of Congress who visited migrant detention centres in Texas on Monday.

Democrats Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Veronica Escobar were among those said to be targeted, with members calling them "hoes" and "scum buckets".

In one post, a member reportedly suggested throwing burritos at them, while another depicted a doctored image that showed Ms Ocasio-Cortez performing a sex act.
