I mean, kind of. He also killed any reasonable chance of regulating districting processes for at least the next five years and his objection to this census question was procedural, so if challenged on less completely flimsy grounds before the 2030 census it will probably go the other way.

Better slay in 2020, Dems. If not, you can imagine all kinds of wild stuff happening (like gerrymandered states also switching to district-based electoral vote allocation).

Constitutionally, courts have no power over gerrymandering so it's tough to say they made an incorrect legal decision. From a practical standpoint, of course they did, because the legislature is never going to solve what they don't view as a problem so all reasonable recourse for citizens has just been effectively removed.

A constitutional amendment will not pass in the current state of Congress. Not now, not 100 years from now as long as the current hyperpartisan atmosphere prevails. It doesn't even matter what it's for. Those days are over.

Trump 2020 adverts that ran on Facebook and claimed to feature real supporters are actually made up entirely of stock footage.

One of the short videos posted in June on the social network shows 'Tracey from Florida' walking along a beach with a voiceover that says "President Trump is doing a great job, I could not ask for a better President of the United States of America."

But 'Tracey from Florida' is an actress, and the clip of her used in the Trump advert is available on the iStock by Getty images website for a fee. Footage of Tracey jogging, working in a warehouse, taking her dog for a walk and even dressed as a doctor are also available.

In another advert paid for by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, a coffee shop worker described as 'Thomas in Washington' is seen smiling while the voiceover says: "President Trump and his family are in our prayers for strength and wisdom from God almighty."

But type 'bearded hipster' into the stock image site and an array of video clips showing 'Thomas' in various poses appear.

The advert also includes a clip of the outside of the coffee shop where we are led to believe Thomas works, but the shop isn't it Washington, it is in Tokyo.

It appears that attempts were made to conceal that fact. Look in the top left and a street sign has been blurred out in the shot featured in the advert.

In the original footage on the iStock video website the street sign is visible in Japanese.

Per Trump, the DoJ & DoC will include the question despite forms already being printed. Also, if the Trump administration refuses to give a written confirmation that they will end the quest to include the question, judge George Hazel will reconsider allowing cases of discrimination and conspiracy allegations against the administration to move forward.

Trump's Fourth of July celebration is free to the public, unless you want to get near the Lincoln Memorial where it has been cordoned off and reserved for those of VIP status.

Mr Trump will be joined on Thursday by a Pentagon delegation led by the highest-ranking US military officer, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Joseph Dunford.

But the service chiefs of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps will not attend.

The Defence Department said in a statement it had received 5,000 tickets from the White House.

Both the Republican National Committee and Mr Trump's campaign confirmed to US media they had also received passes to hand out.

The White House has reportedly distributed VIP tickets to major donors and political appointees.

Mr Trump's re-election campaign sent out an email this week encouraging supporters to attend the event.

But the Democratic National Committee has been given no tickets for the event.
