Nah man he meant they're the same as in they both drink water and breathe air duh

He about to come back with "she's just pandering, same as Trump."
Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
ya'll bitch if i respond "wow we're still talking about that??" but continuously bring it up. it's like a never ending circus with some of you.
i already listed the ways i find them to be similar, reply to it or keep being wrong. it's up to you.
people say tiger woods is the michael jordan of golf. doesn't mean they playing the same sport, fuck the same bitches and have the same car. AOC is the trump of the left, if all you have is a little quip about how i'm wrong write it on your livejournal, if you have an actual rebuttal i'll be waiting
Delicious.

Read any exchange between AG and archi.
Also BG's problem is moreso the respect part because it is ingrained within the DNA of this forum to mock and belittle people who are stupid/bad going back to the XI shaming days. There is plenty of good faith discussion even if people insult each other.
the word pandering is literally no where in my post, idk if you meant to quote me or just read zealots post and assumed it would be mine.. so i'm not sure what you're responding to.
to clarify we're taking one of AOCs best "call to action" tweets and we're comparing it to trump's worst tweets to say they are two different people? is that what's happening or what're we trying to do here?
please refer to the part of what you actually did quote where i said they don't have to be the exact same person to have the comparison drawn, thanks.
all of your performance reviews from now on are based on your worst day of the year. all of your coworkers are based on their best.
It's an incorrect approximation of what makes people "the same."
To use the same Tiger/Jordan analogy, one can reasonably assume that if you make such a comparison the reason is to say "this person is good at a sport in the same way this other person was good at a different sport."
To say AOC is the Trump of the left leaves the statement open to so many assumptions as to render it worthless. To brush over their widly different paths in life before reaching the political realm, what does it mean to be the Trump of anything? What does one associate so readily with Trump the way they do basketball with Michael Jordan that they could then also say AOC is the equivalent on the other side of the political spectrum?
You've pointed to Twitter posts but there's a mountain of observable evidence to show that the substance of AOC's tweets are markedly different in tone and content. Even the ones that are, and these definitely exist, attacking Republicans, the difference in her attacks, which are almost always actually defenses from things said about her or liberals, lack the mocking bad-natured wording and absurd personal claims that are the hallmark of Trump. You've said that AOC's policy proposals are absurdly unrealistic but the ones you point to are about guaranteed jobs and making sure the world isn't destroyed by climate change. You might recall having an air force for World War II and reaching the moon and a black person being President of the United States were absurd and unrealistic. By contrast, it is the fact that so many of Trump's goals CAN be realized, and that they're short-sighted, anti-Democratic, pandering to the wealthy, and racist that is so alarming.
Trump frequently demonstrates that he just shows up to stuff and starts talking about whatever. It was laid out to you how AOC is regarded as remarkably well-informed and prepared by her colleagues on the Hill and you dismissed it as irrelevant. The entirety of your comparison is rooted in the assumption that their use of Twitter and the media attention paid to both of them makes them the same when to even make a surface level comparison between them requires an absence of any meaning as to what being the "Trump" of anything is referring to.
There is basis for saying AOC is the Trump of the left if the entire argument has been structured as "in terms of media attention received and hate from the other side, AOC is the Trump of the left," but your assertion relied on a more substantive comparison that simply doesn't exist.

Yep, was going off of zealot's post referring to you. If you've honestly never claimed her pandering is one of her similarities to Trump then I apologize.
However, Worst day and best day? Fucking lol if we think that kind of tweet from Trump isn't par for the course. I'd argue that AOC posts stuff like this more too, but I don't check her twitter enough so I'd just be going off of memory.
Oh well then there we go lol
i listed like 13 things that i found they had in common, you can go back and read them again if you want. twitter was one of them yes, there were also a few left leaning members who agreed that she shits up on twittersphere pretty often. i'm still not sure why we are having this discussion again, at this point am i supposed to go back and quote myself from 15 pages ago or something?
no intelligent person has backed her climate change policy and said it's doable. not one. there's a reason warren's is 1/10th the price, bernies is 1/15th. this isnt even counting the government jobs that are written in there for every single person. repeating myself
that's fine homie, but he's claiming i'm saying they both pander 24/7 or something and only comparing these 2 tweet? like what? lol. like i'm not seeing the connection here lol. surely anyone here knows that ALL politicians pander to some extent. holllyyyy shiitttt
Well I tried.

gratify or indulge (an immoral or distasteful desire, need, or habit or a person with such a desire, etc.).
"newspapers are pandering to people's baser instincts"
synonyms: indulge, gratify, satisfy, cater to, give in to, fulfill, yield to, bow to, humor, please, accommodate, comply with, go along with
if a politician isn't doing this to their constituents they don't get elected, they all pander. i'm failing to see where you're going but whatever. you do you
