Oh wild I didn't realize Reznor was credited as co-writer and co-producer on OTR, and that it was his first and only Billboard #1 song.

Man this whole paragraph
Sent from my SM-G930V using TapatalkAccording to Rolling Stone, 20-year-old Atlanta rapper Lil Nas X had never heard Nine Inch Nails when he paid $30 for the YoungKio-produced beat to what eventually ended up becoming his viral hit "Old Town Road." But for essentially all of the '90s and '00s, Reznor was the driving force between one of the most consistently successful acts in alternative, industrial rock symphonists Nine Inch Nails. Though the group had some of the era's most recognizable hits on modern rock radio and MTV -- "Head Like a Hole," "Closer," "Hurt" -- they only hit the Hot 100's top 40 once, with 1999's less-remembered, No. 17-peaking "The Day the World Went Away." But now, Reznor and frequent co-composer Atticus Ross are finally credited on the No. 1 song in the country, thanks to "Old Town Road" swiping the rusty guitar scrapes of NIN's 2008 instrumental "34 Ghosts IV."
smh my headthey only hit the Hot 100's top 40 once

NIN is my absolute favorite band. I've seen then 6 times.
I saw Marilyn Manson open for them, I saw NIN open and play with Bowie.
Their cover of Dead Souls and Physical are fantastic.
I knew you were cool before the series of strokes
I grew up with my alt/goth/black trench coat older brother exposing me to pretty wild music since I was like 9 years old. Skinny Puppy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Kraftwerk, KMFDM, Ministry, weird underground techno (most famously among my friends "Gabber", also shit like super early Moby - "Thousand" was the first Moby song I ever heard) - and then hitting high school he went further back in time to 60's/70's rock and shit while I stayed more current with NIN/Tool/Radiohead/whatever.
