Fox and friends is good actually.
im doing keto for right now, i know its the trendy diet but my buddy lost like 60lbs so i just followed him and his advice, hoping to lose about 10 more and switch to a more balanced diet and just track calories vs all this macro stuff.
The only thing that matters is calorie deficit and enough protein for proper muscle recovery. tbf I'd switch to just tracking calories sooner rather than later. It's basic physics. In any standard time period you want E_expended > E_generated and your body will make up the deficit any way that it can. Really the reason you're losing weight is just that, is keto helping you take in fewer calories because meat, by volume, is generally less caloric than other crap (excluding fatty red meat)? Yeah, probably.
I know I'm out of shape so rocks, glass houses, etc. as I sit here having a crack-level craving for those airheads sour extreme bites because they are the height of mankind's creations, but y'know.
you can't pour an unbounded amount of energy into a closed system. All calories are is a parameter describing the amount of energy (joules) expended per unit volume when undergoing a thermal process. Plus or minus some specific chemistry words, that's all it amounts to. Wood has a caloric value. Cement has a caloric value. My keyboard has a caloric value. The body, ultimately, is a closed system and any surplus calories that you intake WILL undergo a thermal process and that energy, if not burned, is used to generate more matter since energy must be conserved within a system. That's why there's a good approximate standard that +3500 calories over BMR ~1lb mass gained. I know some people are gonna jump on that and say NOT ALL BODIES but it's a great approximation and fuck you because given the rounding that occurs in calorie reporting over the course of a week you can be off in your measurement by hundreds of calories depending on serving size and rounding processes.
fat 33 y/o lazy asshole preaches the physics of being fat while sitting behind a keyboard more at 11 back to you bob
Yeah I agree, I am (was) tracking calories, even though a lot of the keto freaks will say that is unnecessary seems like common sense to me when you start thinking about it. I was tracking everything in myfitnesspal but now i'm kinda doing dirty keto since I got a feel for what I could eat each day. The keto folks will say that the diet is also good because you start burning fat vs carbs for energy but I don't know how much that is true vs any other diet. I haven't gone deep diving into all the ins and outs of it, I'm doing a pretty lazy version where I just avoid sugar and watch net carbs.
I'm with you I think it's more about the calorie intake than anything else, and doing keto makes it pretty hard to go over your calories unless you eat half a pound of habenero almonds. >.>
It was def good for me to do some form of diet though to get disciplined because i feel ya man, I spent many years just sitting here eating junk and doing zero activity, actually surprised I wasn't heftier than I was.
for real though I need to go extra hard in the gym because I cannot live without airheads sour extreme bites I would actually die
But yes there is a difference between burning fat vs. carbs and burning muscle vs. fat absolutely but unless you are training hard and really tracking shit meticulously then you can sorta just let that wash over you. The most important thing in dieting is that you make a plan you can stick to and if that involves eating a half of a fucking chocolate cake and coming in at only 1800 calories net in a day after heavy lifting or something then man you fucking do you. It's about making incremental progress both in your health & fitness and your ability to eat better.
Nothing knocks people off the wagon faster than being 30lbs overweight because they eat chips all day nonstop and being told the only thing they can eat to lose weight is grilled chicken breast and brown rice. That shit lasts like 2 weeks into January.
Also I feel ya I've been pounding REAL bad food over the past like 2 months including a fuck ton of candy and when I hit the scales yesterday I was only 200lbs. I'm fat and it's awful but I expected it to be worse.
For real if any of you fatties haven't had these you need to get on it. You need to get the sourful ones not just the bites.
The thing about pure breeds is you know what you're getting terms of general personality, look, temperament. But then they come with health problems associated with those traits and some breeds, like shit tzus, got the short end of that stick =(. Sucks to hear its eye is no bueno; my ex had 3 of those breed in the family and they were each falling apart by 10 years old.

which one of yall 'hoes mad' got the miniAoC account suspended
bet it was fiye
My guy you don't need a diet you just need to start lifting.
I'm 5'10.5 and just got up to 213 like 3 weeks ago, which is as heavy as I've ever been. But really it's the candid photos my wife takes of me with the kids where it's like "oh man I'm getting fat as shit".
Down to 205 right now but man I get irritable when I'm on a calories deficit, lifting weights and not sleeping enough (bc of the aforementioned kids).
