if we were siphoning off 2-3% of their wealth for a broad social safety net every year I'd generally agree

but relative to historical means utilizing the Shiller P/E Ratio or aggregate stock evaluation relative to GDP or really anything else you can think of it's one big fat ugly assets bubble

can't believe the Fed wants to lower interest rates in this environment the risk is enormous

will be nothing as catastrophic the real estate bubble if it's a stock bubble as some economists predict.

in reality though most just think tech has created a fake bubble, FANG stocks specifically. these crashing won't have the widescale effects the crazy people seem to think they will. if you press anyone on why they think FANG has created a tech bubble they don't give you anything solid, just generally "the company isn't worth x amount", most of the people who theorize on these things are also financially invested so pushing an agenda can be profitable.

There is when about half of America isn't in the market at all (including 401k, etc), tax cuts for the corporations go into stock buy backs instead of wages or hiring, and when 3 people have more wealth than an entire 50% of the country.
