And in those meeting people recognize they have a problem when they're hitting that point aka their rock bottoms. Not saying oh I can stop whenever I want. He hasn't hit rock bottom yet. Once his life is truly in shambles he may see what drinking does to him or the cirrhosis takes hold.

I used Milkster's logic as an example that Cichy could relate to about why it's annoying for someone to tell you something about your own identity and to disagree with you and tell you that you just don't know any better. That it's not just about preventing a belief from being voiced, it's about imposing a minimum standard of conduct regardless of those beliefs.

Then people actually began debating this example, which wasn't the point and would have been a derail. Because we had gotten to people posting "I'm not going to debate you but you're wrong" and "This isn't the place for me to show you that you are wrong."
