I never had a PS3 but played the hell out of my 360. So when it came time to move to the next gen I got an X1. It was okay. But then I got a PS4 to play FF14 and it’s leaps and bounds better than X1 imo. Since getting my PS4 about two years ago I can probably count on one hand the number of times I’ve booted up my X1.
I like how every generation Sony and Microsoft get out the measuring sticks for specs and online stuff and then Nintendo comes out like "look at our weird fuckin controller lol, anyway here's Zelda" and goes to #1.

too real lmao
true facts
Astylla and I picked up an XBox One a few years ago. I absolutely hated Dragon Age Inquisition, and couldn't stand the d-pad on the XBone controller for Killer Instinct. Think I spent most of my time playing the Master Chief Collection, but I think my entire time on that console not including setup was maybe 10 hours. So yeah if anyone wants an XBOne with KI, MCC, Sunset Overdrive, and Dragon Age, hit me up.
I mean that's why I said BOTW feels refreshing just because it's an extreme departure from previous Zeldas, but there's nothing ground-breakingly innovative. The execution had some really high notes, like how they integrated all the new mechanics (water jumping/gliding/shield surf) with archery into the Divine Beast fights, but shit didn't break any molds.
But Nintendo can hit some home runs just by taking their IP and putting them into new formats. Super Mario RPG was one of the best old school RPGs and one of the best Mario games ever.
Nothing about that durability system, lack of enemy types, or lack of actual dungeons felt refreshing =(

not judging. but like i said. not surprised.
The original Legend of Zelda was an open-world RPG don't @ me
Forza was also a p decent Xbox exclusive, but yeh I never bought an Xbox One, and that generation is all but over now. Ever since Bungie fulfilled their contract requirements with MS, I haven't had any serious Xbox interest.
OG Xbox and Xbox 360 were both pretty tight in their day, and I still occasionally set up LANs with both of them. (Halos, L4D1&2 mostly) But I'm a super nerd and capitalized on working at a game store 2007-2009. 360 has the best console controller (Switch Pro controller is roughly equivalent), and I'll probably always come back to my 360s as long as the consoles remain working.
Mario Kart Double Dash is also a fun LAN time, but it's unfortunate characters and karts are random.
Don't worry; I'll bring 'em all to the inaugural BG Con.
LttP, LBW, LA, Minish Cap, OG Zelda yes please. I'm a whore for 2D.
Wind Waker was largely fantastic, but I can't crown it the best simply because it was too easy in a franchise of mostly easy games. So much shit did a 1/4 heart; anyone could stumble through this eventually.
Twilight Princess had much tedium, especially at the beginning, but was also the most beautiful Zelda. OoT probably just edges out TP in the 3D subcategory. I'll have to start BotW soon, one of these days.
My biggest issue with Twilight Princess on the Wii was motion controls. I couldn't play for more than 30-45 minutes at a time. So I never even bothered with Skyward Sword. If TP's Gamecube port ever gets brought over to the switch, I'll probably give it another shot as I thought it was otherwise fun.
I also never got to play the N64 or GC Zelda's either. So I went LoZ 1 & 2 on the NES, LttP on SNES, Link Between Worlds on 3DS, then BotW.
