What are the most terrible Westbrook trades? Orlando? New York? I can't figure out a single trade that makes sense for the team receiving westbrook.

Need a team that has one really good piece or two to three okay ones which are not point guards and not super ball dominant. Most of the teams with only one elite player are points (Wall, Lillard, Walker) so the closest I can think of is the Spurs when DeRozan and LMA?

Clips are the favorites right now. Lakers aren't in bad shape, bucs are the bucs, 6ers still decent. Miami would be okay with Westbrook.
Should be an interesting transition year.
Next year is going to be fucking fire. Everyone back, everyone healthy. LA vs NY. Barring injuries and with a few more pieces moved the '20-'21 season is going to be lit.
I think NYK would be the funniest.
knicks reddit is a madhouse right now.
im not gonna lie tho, i had to stop myself from dreaming after i heard the PG news.. but there's really no need to trade away our future for a 30yo guard that no one wants to play with
although, i do think him and jimmy would be an interesting pair in miami
i don't think that's a good qualifier, though.
utah is a veteran team with two legit star players and they added a conley which shores a lot of their biggest weaknesses. they added bogdan on top of it so it's pretty reasonable to expect them to improve and make a big leap.
clips haven't won any series since blake and cp3 left either but i think it's safe to assume they'll be top dog in the west barring any additions to the other contenders.
houston i think is on the verge of implosion with all the rumors about trying to trade capela/gordon/others and the harden/cp3 rift. if they keep on as is though and fix their shit, i do think they'll be very good still and around utah's level.
i did forget about nuggets, though. prob bucks 76ers clips nugs is more accurate.
yeah i think in a vacuum you take lebron/AD as a duo. but to me kawhi is the best player in the world right now and adding pg, who was mvp-level last year is pretty close. certainly a lot of arguments for either duo, so maybe just say it's razor close. that said, it's not in a vacuum and there are stark differences in team construction.
as moss said, for the most part the team that took the warriors to 6 is still mostly intact. they lost shai and gallo in the trade and replaced them with two top 10 players. harrell/williams were the top two 6moy (if that counts for anybody) candidates last year, and the best p/r duo in the league. beverly will make the clips starting 1/2/3 an absolute nightmare of a defense, and shamet is basically baby jj redick, being groomed to run the point.
lakers are running it back with a bunch of knuckleheads and because of the drawn out affair were not able to chase of the mid tier FAs that would have really helped their cause (redick, morris, bogdan, etc.) additionally, as long as lebron and AD are on the team they'll now be unable to make enough space to offer a third max in future years, barring a discounted contract. they dumped all their picks and most talented young players for AD, are not a team known for developing diamonds in the rough, have a coaching staff that will be sure to explode into drama, and have an organization that's been a dumpster fire of drama for the past year. there is a lot for them to overcome.
ad is arguably the best player lebron has ever teamed with. They don't really need another star so much as they need a couple competent role players to keep the playmaking burden off of lebron
How did Boogie and AD work together as a twin tower set-up in NOLA, or would it be a better idea to stagger them so there's always one elite big?
Westbrook and Butler would be very underrated they are definitely a playoff team.
AD is definitely the best player LeBron has ever played with, he's a top 5 player and could become the best player in the league.
Straight up between those two and KL and PG it would be tough.
KL and PG are probably the best two way players that have ever played together/been on the same team. The two of them together is unreal. Today, I'd lean towards them over AD/Bron. But I think there is no ceiling for AD and Bron even with his age, they could be the two best players to ever play together there is just no limit to AD.
The Lakers made some good moves but they have a much bigger hill to climb with the clips already being good and not a self devouring mess of a dumpster fire that the Lakers organization is trying to crawl out of.
Adrian Wojnarowski REPORTS Westbrook talking to Thunder GM about possible trade
none of them are in the East L O L
they beat OKC with the current crew and Gobert/Ingles were around for the Clippers win too. + they added Bogdanovic who put in work as a 20 ppg 50/40/80 #1 option after Oladipo went down. that offense is going to flamethrow when they go 4 out with Gobert as the rollman.
really tho Bucks lose Brogdon, Raps lose the champions formerly known as Spurs, Sixers swap Reddick/Butler for Richardson/Horford, Celts Kyrie/Horford for Kemba/Kanter. good squads all around but every top Eastern team has taken a significant step backwards.
prolly have the Clipps as #1. George and Kawhi are an incredible pairing and better than a 35 year old LeBron who is an active defensive liability and AD. like the supporting cast more too, especially if they keep Jamychal Green to gobble up 4 minutes.
love what Utah's done, and like Kisada said if the Rockets get it the fuck together they're still elite. Nets are top 4 when Durant comes back. GS will be strong as well when Klay comes back.
i wouldn't say definitely because lebron played on the heat with an in his prime wade. but davis definitely is a better fit. the pairing works out quite well and on paper it looks pretty amazing. but when you think about it, they both want to occupy the paint at some point whereas KL/PG can play pretty much anywhere on the court.
I agree with all of the pro-Utah arguments, I like them and would not be surprised if they finish with a top seed on the West. I'm just conservative regarding bumping teams over other "proven" teams like the Rockets even with their current dysfunction. The other new contenders have legitimate stars and I don't put Mitchell and Gobert on that level. iirc they had a strong scoring margin together. That was a different Boogie though and I think he will/would be better used as a high usage player of the bench as McGee is probably the better role player at this point in his career (which is crazy)
Also possible Boogie looks a lot better with more time to rehab the injury

remember that team playing better when Boogie went down and they slotted Mirotic into his place. the pairing worked well enough but there were a lot of Boogie hangups even in his prime (bad p&r defender, plodding pace, turnover prone) and AD played the best ball of his career as a 5 surrounded by shooters and playmakers.
but, beggars choosers etc Kawhi boned the Lakeshow by declaring after all the other marquee free agents had and Boogie is def worth the vet's minimum gamble.
