positional designations for guards in D'Antoni's Houston system doesn't really matter, Paul+James were equally comfortable bringing the ball up and initiating the iso / pick & roll offense. but point was more Russ isn't the hog he was during his solo years, George averaged more shots, more free throws, more points. fully expect Russ to go be good with Harden as the #1 option. but don't know how much value he has left as the #2 if he's not behind a Durant.

I think this could be a lot of fun. It should keep Westbrook from making terrible shots and more high percentage ones, and give him someone to defer to that can hit from anywhere while he throws his body around for rebounds and then assists back out to harden.

But he went from a great defender to... Harden... The rest of the strating lineup is strong though this team is going to be good.

This is going to be my favorite NBA season in a while, at least until next season when KD comes back and the NBA reaches its final form.
