Kawhi stands to make more money if he signs a two-year (probably a pair of 1 plus player options), then negotiates a max when he hits the 10 year mark. Re-upping short term in Toronto makes sense.

The thing is that seeing Durant and Klay go down might give him pause about whether he wants to risk being able to get a max in two years, esp. with his injury the year before this and it still affecting him.

prob gonna get like 30m+ a year for 3-4 years. probably an option on the last year though, hard to imagine too many teams biting on that.

i think dlo will get the max. just not sure from whom. but any team that has open space and is starved for talent will wanna do it.
