It's curious to me that as of right now, Arizona has the 3rd highest salary, Chicago is 6th, Anaheim is 10th.
And Vegas is still over the cap for now

John Shannon @JSportsnet
Gus Nyquist is heading to Columbus.
Edmonton re-signed Alex Chiasson 2yrs 2.15m AAV
Pierre LeBrun @PierreVLeBrun
Curtis McElhinney two year deal with Tampa Bay, $1.3 M AAV per season
Isabelle Khurshudyan @ikhurshudyan
Capitals announce the Richard Panik signing. He gets the same deal as Carl Hagelin: four years, $11 million. That's a $2.75 million cap hit.
Colorado signed Joonas Donskoi 4yrs 3.9mil AAV
Dallas signed Andrej Sekera 1yr 1.5m
Imagine paying #1Cop 10m a year for 7 years in his 30s, like what in the fuck are you thinking FLA.
Holtby is gone next year, oh well. Hopefully Samsanov gets a little NHL action this year to ease his transition.
1.5m for a 4th liner is high, you can get 2 4th liners for that. Maybe Vasp can chime in on him, maybe he's better then just a 4th liner but looking at his adv stats, he's pretty average with strong PK skills.
For Jud (and Nynja/Rata)
Riley Barber to Montreal =(
Half of that Cap is cause Holtby and Backstrom need new contracts, and Vrana is still getting a 4m bridge prolly. No way I want to see Holtby get 10-12m aav, even though I fucking love him to death.
Also, fuck Riley Barber, he was pissed off the Caps didn't play him more the last couple years when they were stacked and when he finally gets a chance to make the lineup, he refuses to even talk to the Caps about a contract and signs for 1yr 700k. Give me a break dude.
Yea, it was a shitty situation for sure. He definitely would have had a chance this year with the huge turnover on the 3rd/4th line.
Wonder what happens with Nate Walker too, as he's a UFA
BIG FA SIGNING, WE GOT RILEY BARBER, PLAN THE PARADE
