Is your outrage for Jonthan Taylor Thomas getting recasted to a JD Mcray for Simba the same as the Little Mermaid's "recasting"?

It's about looks
The only look that's changed is her skin tone
Her skin tone is not important in any way so it doesnt matter if it gets changed. If that matters to you, then boy is that really telling about yourself.
Do you follow those steps at all?

Because the senselessness of it still applies to an animated character. Many are makimg a huge deal over changing the race of a cartoon.
Let's try this Raven of Teen Titans is drawn as white but the recent live action had her casted as black. Was there THIS much of a big deal over that decision?

Complaining about a change in (color) casting is fueling the outrage culture you abhor. It's only "pandering" when people are this upset about the change. If no one cared about the change, like nearly everyone in this thread, there would be no reason for Disney to "pander" to a culture of outrage.
If Disney did not cast this right then we will know, but right now we can only put our faith in the casting team that they chose the right candidate for the role.
