How come white people don't get mad about whitewashing in movies? Weird

Nah. You're a racist. You could've stopped outrages.... ha that should be pages but it fits. You could've stopped pages ago yet here you are still arguing about a black woman playing a mermaid who was made as a white redhead 20+ years ago will ruin the memories and image of the character. You a racist.
once upon a time stopped being good when they cut me off from fantasizing about the sheriff
seriously fifty shades didn't do jamie dornan justice. give him a beard and a vest and oh lawd
Draylo how is this not about race when you're saying ariel should be white? Or shouldnt be black?
Like, what?

Then when that person earlier said its not okay that a white person plays an established character that is black or any minority, is that not racist too? If they make her appearance to resemble the actual character, with red hair and all and she does a good job, I don't see it being an issue. I simply gave my opinion on this trend that is going on with forceably changing established characters to fit an agenda and cause controversy, it isn't race related.
But the controversy is only because people have shitty opinions that the green mermaid can only be white and not black because thats what they specifically grew up with. There would be no agenda or controversy if people just accepted the casting because she's a good actress.
You can feel however you want man, but dont say it's not about race when...yeah its about race.
You can prefer the white ariel, that's fine. Kinda odd when you haven't seen or heard the new ariel...but ok I guess...

That's the whole fucking point.
Let's say that Halle ends up with: purple seashells for a bra, red hair, green tail, and a purple flower at one point in her hair. Making her skin color being the "artistic take" on her character, yet it is acceptable to you in once upon a time, but isn't even IMAGINABLE to you in this case. Like you automatically assume they have changed the character due to skin color when that is only ONE part to the character, instead of assuming it's a small artistic take.
That is what makes you racist, Draylo. That all the other "artistic takes" are minor, yet skin color is THAT much more important to you. You can opinionate all you want, but that is racism.
