A federal judge in Minnesota demanded to know why Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is not complying with court orders and failing to immediately release immigrants who are being wrongfully detained as part of Operation Metro Surge. A government attorney responded that the federal government’s system "sucks."
While Le said procedures are being implemented to ensure ICE complies with court orders moving forward, she admitted it has been like pulling teeth and has required non-stop work in an already depleted office.
"I wish you would just hold me in contempt of court so I can get 24 hours of sleep," Le said. "The system sucks, this job sucks, I am trying with every breath I have to get you what I need."
I mean that just shows the contempt (heh) they have for court orders

ICE has demanded the employment records of the Cumberland County, Maine, sheriff's office after the sheriff criticized ICE for arresting a guard.
You'd think Homan would be smart enough to spend two weeks chilling the fuck out while congress works out a DHS deal.

Homan to reduce the number of ICE agents in Minnesota by 700
"The beatings will continue until morale improves."

ICE's raid of a Chicago apartment building had nothing to do with the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua, instead they were targeting squatters. Nothing in the DHS records of the raid mentions the gang.
Now, new documents confirm in the government’s own words that what prompted the raid was more pedestrian: allegations that immigrants were squatting in the complex. And the landlord had given federal officials, who were already targeting immigrants in Chicago, the blessing to search the building.
Arrest records for two of the 37 immigrants detained that September night, included in a motion filed Tuesday that’s tied to an ongoing federal consent decree, provide the clearest picture yet of what led to the controversial and aggressive operation, in which agents descended from a Blackhawk helicopter, broke down doors and zip-tied U.S. citizens and immigrants.
The records reveal that agents entered and searched the complex with the “owner/manager’s verbal and written consent.” Agents wrote that they launched the operation “based on intelligence that there were illegal aliens unlawfully occupying apartments.” They said they focused their search on units “that were not legally rented or leased at the time.” That narrative appears word for word in both arrest reports — for a Venezuelan man and a Mexican man.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security makes no mention in the records of Tren de Aragua, even though officials repeatedly cited the gang’s presence in the building as the motivation for the raid. Agents paraded immigrants in front of cameras and called their arrests a victory against terrorism. The government also claimed two of those arrested were gang members but never provided any proof. In their complaint, state officials wrote that “building management blamed Venezuelan tenants for their own (management’s) failure to provide needed locks and security service, as well as other needed maintenance and repairs, and perpetuated stereotypes about Venezuelan gang members to send a message that tenants born outside of the United States were considered gang associates, even if they were law abiding.”
Within hours of the raid, workers from the management company were tossing tenants’ belongings in the trash and clearing out apartments, the complaint states.
The newest narrative being crafted in the right wing circles now (with no evidence) is that Savannah Guthrie's mother was kidnapped/murdered by an illegal immigrant. Trump has already commented on her disappearance saying how awful it is and offering the assistance of federal investigators so you KNOW that shit is coming in Arizona soon.

Jake Lang has been arrested for destroying an ICE sculpture presented by vets.
Jake Lang, a candidate for U.S. Senate in Florida and organizer of an anti-Islam demonstration in Minneapolis last month, posted video to his social media account showing him kicking down several letters from the sculpture that had spelled “Prosecute ICE” to spell ‘Pro ICE.” That came hours after veterans held a news conference alongside the ice sculpture voicing their concern over the federal immigration enforcement crackdown in Minnesota.
On his X account, Lang said he had been arrested on a felony charge in Ramsey County. Lang was booked into the Ramsey County Jail Thursday afternoon.

Memphis, TN
Her boyfriend, Jaquize Henderson, had a warrant out for his arrest. During the arrest, Hollingsworth took video on her cell phone that captured one of the eight responding officers kicking her small Schnauzer named Yoshi.
"My dog came out running. He was like, 'What's going on?' And so the U.S. Marshal had kicked him very hard, forcefully, for no reason," she said.
She said afterward, she took him to the veterinarian. He was diagnosed with a broken rib and now has to take medication. She said she posted the video to social media to document what happened.
