I'd be pissed if my team chucked away a bunch of cap space for no reason instead of using that money to front-load an extension for an existing player.

that is a shitload of money, too. like 25mil just cuz they feel bad? oof
I think they are semi-hoping he takes a couple months off with the family, gets some mai tai's... get sun kissed and he will come out of retirement when his body feels better.....
Doubtful.
From what I saw, he'd have to clear waivers to return this year
Chad Henne broke his ankle.
Kansas City signing Matt Moore
pats center david andrews has blood clots in his lungs; they aren’t sure of the cause, season is in jeopardy
Carli Lloyd says she was offered a chance by an unspecified team to kick in a preseason game but it conflicted with a USWNT game against Portugal
desperate times
Falcons should sign her. I'm sure she's better under pressure than whichever scrub we have back there now

Mariota needs some serious help this season. Offensive line looked horrible yesterday leading to a safety and and a couple of sacks. They took him out real fast so he would not get hurt I'm sure. Our second string had a better game than our starters!
Well yeah, Lewan didn’t start with first string cuz his dumbass is suspended the first 4 games. Our only problem on the Oline is Ben Jones. He’s just so damned awful.
He’s going to have better offensive weapons than most QBs, so he is going to have to figure it out. Cory Davis, AJ Brown, Derrick Henry, Humphries. And Delanie Walker is a legit weapons package.
Ive heard Davis looks good this preseason too
Bears could sign Carli Lloyd too and I'd be completely okay with it.
he had 26.4% of his teams target share last year, which was 8th highest in the league
mike evans, for a comparison, got 22.4%
Lmao, that doesn't tell but half the story: Tampa was 4th in the league with 625 passes. Tennessee was 31st with 437.
Again, the problem is getting Davis targets. LaFleur's play-calling was absolutely atrocious and he insisted on running Henry/Lewis up the gut on 2nd and 8, over and over.
he still had the 19th most targets in the entire league
Then no doubt he led the league with the most "not catchable" balls. I amend my statement to "quality targets" lmao. Forcing him terrible passes, against double-teams, on 3rd and 12 (thanks LaFleur) or literally any pass from Gabbert shouldn't go against any poor soul.
the dolphins have met with clowney regarding a trade and are trying to convince him to accept a trade and eventual contract
clowney’s agent said his preferred teams are the seahawks and eagles
