I have realized the key to making this game playable is just declining any matches against Sol players. It's a bitch move but fuck it, that character ain't playing the same game as everyone else.

Even with the braindead Rams out there I'm still kinda fine with the match because the character has weaknesses and flaws, as opposed to Sol with every button being plus on block and a nigh unpunishable DP.

I know I've said this a lot, but there HAS to be something fundamentally that I do not understand about how throw breaks work in this game

I know it's coming, I'm inputting the break, and just nothing.

I can accept that stuff in games with shitty netcode but it just doesn't make sense here.

I mean it is a training room clip but unlike all of these TOD combos we always see, it's not with a full risk bar and it's against fucking Potemkin, not Chipp

TBH while Sols damage is probably overtuned atm its not the big problem with the character. The big issue is the ease at which he can just pump up your risc gauge becasue 6s is plus on block for some ungodly reason.

Pretty hilarious considering Capcom absolutely SHIT on their main character in 5. Ryu was garbage-tier for so long. Arcsys said "hell nah" to that.

I am genuinely interested in seeing how they're going to try to balance this game.

Even beyond the stuff like Sol's frame data and damage (or going the other way around, characters like Anji and his fucking piss poor +/- numbers), there's the wild disparity in various characters hitboxes. Some of it feels almost too baked in to the design of the character to be fixable, like Ram basically being immune to bursts while going thru her corner combo.
