    I took a nap somewhere in Florida when I was driving from NC to Miami. I was also 19 and didn’t know any better.

    A good buddy of mine is a truck driver who owns the truck. Like Sal said dude knocks out all the time on the roadside rest stops, but has the cabin hooked up with a mattress and all kinds of home amenities.

    For real that's how they all do it. I didnt realize there was a whole sleeping section in the back of the cabin until I saw a hows it's made. There was also one sold on pawn stars I think and they showed it off and it blew my mind.

    It makes sense tho cause my LS had a couple truck drivers in it and I always wondered how comfortable they could be camping in an 18 wheeler lmao.

    Beds and dining tables and everything. My cousin is engaged to a truck driver. She goes on trips with him sometimes and she said there's no issue having them both sleep in the truck cabin.

    One of the El Paso shooting survivors was invited to the White House by Trump for a group ceremony honoring their bravery. Secret Service arrested him because he had outstanding warrants. The warrant issued refused extradition so they had to release him. His mother stood in for him during the ceremony. The lulz keep coming though as security footage from the shooting showed that he did not throw soda cans at the shooter to distract him as he told CNN, but rather that he hid from the shooter and didn’t engage him at all.

    If it was a cross country trip I might make a stay out of it in places I've never visited, but a "short" drive up only half a coast doesnt merit room and board imo, unless traveling with a child or something. For any trip shorter than 48hours I just drive and sleep at a well lit and populated rest stop.

    When I was young and dumb I did that NC trek right after an 8 hour work shift, and I thought I could manage it with a 3hr nap at a rest stop. I barely made it another 50miles before I was desperate for the next stop to take a proper rest. Woke up after another 4 hours and I still didnt finish that trip without a 3rd, actual power nap.

    I was stupid, and truck drivers figured this out decades ago.
