The and part, they do more than just publish their op-eds. Most of the non big stories are very centrist/right wing leaning and even then big stories can swing super hard into both sides/liberals are the problems. It's very apparent in how easily they run with Fox News talking points as legitimate journalism.

I.e. How hard they went on buttery males during 2016.

NYT also employs people with lots of conflicts of interests when publishing stories.

No it goes beyond that. Our measurement of bias is so fucked becaused we regard things like Vox as solid Left meanwhile you have places like Splinter and Jacobin that are faaaaar left leaning and they'll still register as left.

Meanwhile CNN (A show that'll give equal airtime to both a liberal and batshit insane conservative when discussing climate change) is regarded as left leaning.
